We performed The Tables Turned by William Morris as a benefit for The William Morris Society in their Coach House on the banks of the Thames at Hammersmith on the evening of the 2nd of May 2010.
The society believes that at the time this performance by The New Factory was the first and only professional staging of the work. It was first performed in the late 1880s by members of the Socialist Society at venues around the country with Morris himself taking a role.
The performance was recorded and the recording subsequently sold in the society’s bookshop. The company and cast wived their rights to fees for the recording.
